Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Our customer is a leading investor services group employing 4750+ people across 25 jurisdictions worldwide. Solution brings together that rare combination of global technical expertise and a deep understanding of their clients’ needs. Solution helps their clients and the sector to stay compliant. They act as a guardian and facilitate client’s investments.

They are building an internal portal to unify all the existing apps in one place for all the employee’s. The design and architecture is done internally. Development will involve building a portal and doing APIs.

The Senior Developer will report directly to the Head of R&D. The candidate will be working on the continuous development of the proprietary regtech software solution, MaxComply, in an Agile environment. The developer will be largely working on a LAMP based technology stack, using Vue framework for frontend services.

• Work as part of a dynamic development team at the forefront of Vue application development
• Contributing to the continuing development of the software frontend of MaxComply
• Finding code solutions to business process specifications by programming new software modules with exposure to the full technology stack
• Resolving bug fix tickets on the internally developed code base
• Liaising with superusers to identify and specify business requirements for new features
• Show an awareness of ongoing security risks and solutions
• Write well-structured and efficient code in line with industry’s best practices

• At least 3 years’ experience with either Vue, Vue.js 3 preferred
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, its quirks, and workarounds
• At least 2 years’ experience in the Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Knowledge of frontend state management solutions (Vuex, Redux, or other Flux based state management solutions)
• Very good understanding of REST-based API design and consuming (Axios, Apollo, fetch)
• Very good knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience in CSS precompiling SASS/LESS
• Proficiency with modern development tools, like Babel, Webpack, ESLint
• Exposure to IDE environments and Continuous Integration tools (Bitbucket/GIT, Jira etc)
• Having developed a frontend for a Symfony or a Laravel application is a plus
• An understanding of financial compliance processes is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and understand business workflows is essential
• Knowledge of other Vue based tooling, like Vue CLI, i18n, Validate, Vuese is a plus
