• Data engineers will be developing datasets and queries based on TV’s ever-growing data lake for both internal and external customer use
• Data engineering is a critical competency for TV’s cloud services engineering team much of the company’s business focuses on the structuring, interpretation, and production of datasets for sale into the entertainment and advertising industries

• Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data engineering
• Working knowledge of Python and the PySpark library or any other data engineering framework
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies
• Material experience in Relational and “NoSQL” databases with an emphasis on complex SQL query development
• Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a particular focus on the following:  Glue, Athena, S3, Redshift
• Experience delivering datasets using Apache AirFlow
• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a particular focus on Terraform
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
• Self-organized and self-motivated to work independently, addressing dependencies on the way

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive, hands-on experience in one or more statically typed languages (i.e. Java, C#, C, C++)  or dynamically typed languages (i.e. Javascript, Ruby) beyond Python
• Working understanding of performance instrumentation, analysis and tuning
• Experience in the TV entertainment domain
• Experience of working with remote and distributed teams, our team spans across many time zones and cultures
