Project details

The SAP Analyst II provides L2 production support for SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) processes within the customer’s SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA landscape. This role supports day‑to‑day business operations by resolving incidents, service requests, and break/fix issues through the Service Desk. The analyst works closely with business partners to maintain operational stability and support minor enhancements in the Order to Cash process. The role follows established change, release, and compliance processes and participates with IT colleagues on cross‑functional teams.

In this role, your day-to-day activities will include: 

  • Monitoring ServiceNow incident queues for your assigned functional areas 

  • Performing initial evaluation and triage of support tickets 

  • Communicating directly with impacted users to understand reported issues 

  • Analyzing issues and determining the appropriate path to resolution 

  • Performing SAP configuration changes as needed to resolve break/fix issues 

  • Coordinating with technical teams when development or cross-functional support is required 

  • Working with business users to validate solutions and capture test evidence 

  • Documenting analysis, actions taken, and resolution details in accordance with support processes

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day L2 production support for SAP SD, including order processing, pricing, billing, credit management, returns, and integrations with FI and Logistics Execution. 
  • Resolving incidents and service requests through ServiceNow, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Performing configuration and functional support for approved break/fix issues and minor enhancements within SAP SD. 
  • Testing solutions, supports deployment to production, and assists with hypercare following the release of new functionality.
  • Working directly with business partners to understand issues, validate solutions, and represent business needs within IT support processes.
  • Collaborating with IT colleagues to ensure best practices are followed for security, compliance, change management, and release management. 
  • Contributing to documentation and continuous improvement activities.

Skills

Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in an SAP-related IT role
  • Exposure to S/4HANA and ECC is preferred
  • Experience with NACE output determination and BRF+
  • Experience with ALE / IDOC inbound and outbound integration
  • Experience with modern event-based, SAP API integration is preferred
  • Hands-on experience supporting the SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) module
  • Preferred experience supporting Oil and Gas, Process Industry, and/or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organizations

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Order-to-Billing process and concepts, including sales order creation, credit/debit memo creation, plant determination, route determination, shipping point determination, pricing, ATP (available-to-promise), rebates, condition contracts, returns processing, billing
  • Strong knowledge of SAP configuration nodes related to the order-to-billing – OTB/SD process areas
  • Experience with Rev-Trac, Cloud ALM, or similar tools used to transport changes across system environments
  • Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ITIL-based service management tool to manage requests, incidents, and problems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple support issues and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
