Senior React Frontend Software Engineer

A globally recognized Big Four professional services firm with a strong presence in Luxembourg, serving clients across the financial services sector within the CSSF/PSF regulatory environment.

The client operates an internal Digital Factory, a product-focused engineering unit embedded within the firm, responsible for building and delivering proprietary software across four core service lines: Tax, Assurance, Consulting and Corporate Services. The factory runs approximately 50 active projects across five product verticals, built on an Azure-based technology stack, with delivery teams split between Luxembourg and offshore locations.

The candidate will join Brightgrove's embedded team, working alongside existing placements including Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and specialists across the client's product verticals. On the client side, they will report to the Technology Solutions Lead and collaborate daily with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and development teams across verticals.

Frontend Delivery & Development

Develop and maintain complex React applications within EY's enterprise product portfolio, serving internal users across Tax, Assurance, Consulting, and Corporate services
Deliver production-ready code within Azure DevOps-managed sprint cycles — backlogs, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines
Implement UI designs in close collaboration with UX designers — pixel-accurate, accessible, and performant
Integrate with backend APIs — define requirements clearly, handle edge cases, and ensure resilient frontend behaviour
Maintain high standards for code quality, component design, TypeScript usage, and test coverage

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with backend engineers and product owners to align on feature scope and API contracts
Participate actively in code reviews and contribute to raising the technical bar across the frontend team
Communicate proactively — raise blockers early, flag risks, and keep engineering leadership informed without being asked
Collaborate with the Enterprise Solution Architect on frontend architecture standards and shared component strategy where applicable

Technical Ownership

Take end-to-end ownership of frontend features from design handoff through deployment
Contribute to component library and design system consistency across verticals
Identify and address frontend technical debt — performance, accessibility, maintainability
Make pragmatic architectural decisions at the component and application level, balancing quality with delivery velocity

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with at least 3 years focused on React in production environments
• Deep React proficiency — hooks, context, state management, component lifecycle, modern patterns
• Strong TypeScript skills — typed codebase, non-negotiable
• Experience working in Azure DevOps or equivalent enterprise CI/CD environments
• Solid experience integrating with RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams
• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments is a strong advantage — financial services, audit, tax, or similar
• Proactive, delivery-focused mindset — iterates quickly, does not wait for perfect specifications
• Strong English communication skills — international team, English-only working environment
