The Government Sector is creating a Project from scratch with Microsoft Fabric’s semantic modeling feature. They aim to integrate semantic models with their existing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to enhance reporting and data consumption. The ministry handles vast amounts of data, including tourism insights and telecommunications data, stored in a centralized location. Their data engineering team is currently refining these data structures to streamline reporting and improve the efficiency of their on-premises solutions.
Design and implement a Semantic Model for the Government Sector Project with Microsoft Fabric tenant. The semantic model should support continuous deployment and include development, test, and production environments. It should significantly improve upon the existing SQL views used in the on-premises SSAS cube. Initially, the model will include a limited number of SQL tables to demonstrate the potential of utilizing Microsoft Fabric for semantic modeling within the data landscape.
This Project is from scratch. We'll work first on the POC and if approved, we'll start the implementation and building a team of 4-5 Data Engineers.
