Project details

The role is part of a strategic engagement within the banking and financial services sector, supporting large-scale OT/IT transformation initiatives for a major European financial institution.
The project focuses on enhancing operational technology integration, security, and governance frameworks, ensuring alignment between industrial systems and enterprise IT landscapes in a highly regulated environment.

Your Team

You will be fully embedded within the client’s internal team, working in close collaboration with their PMO, architecture, security, and engineering stakeholders.
This is a long-term, full-time integration role, where you will act as a key contributor to ongoing initiatives, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical execution while supporting cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project governance and portfolio management across OT/IT initiatives
  • Manage risk tracking, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting
  • Ensure standardized processes, resource planning, and timeline adherence
  • Oversee budget control and compliance with industry standards
  • Coordinate across technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Drive milestone tracking, escalation management, and delivery alignment

Skills

  • Proven experience in PMO roles within complex OT/IT environments, including project governance, portfolio management, risk tracking, and executive reporting
  • Strong ability to manage cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of OT architecture design and optimization, including segmentation, scalability, and Purdue Model (Levels 0–3), as well as IT/OT integration concepts
  • Hands-on knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET/EtherNet-IP, AMQP, and DNP3
  • Familiarity with network zoning, DMZ architectures, and deterministic communication (TSN)
  • Strong knowledge of OT security principles and frameworks, including Defense in Depth, access control, and continuous monitoring
  • Experience working with industry standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82, as well as securing communication protocols (e.g., TLS for OPC UA/MQTT)
  • Experience with application integration and secure data exchange, including REST APIs, WebSockets, and protocol gateways between OT/IT systems and third-party platforms
  • Nice to have: exposure to customer data platforms (e.g., Upsales), including data segmentation, automation workflows, and sales reporting
