Senior PHP Engineer

Our Client is a leading vehicle importer, representing iconic brands like Subaru across Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and the Baltics, as well as Isuzu in Sweden. With a focus on delivering expert support to our business partners, we are experiencing an exciting phase of growth.

As a Senior PHP Developer, you'll be redeveloping an existing platform from a custom PHP framework to Symfony, while also contributing to new features, optimizations, and system enhancements.

 You’ll collaborate closely with the IT teams in Malmo and the UK and engage with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.

• Redevelop existing platforms using Symfony.
• Design, develop, test, and document new features and enhancements.
• Conduct reverse engineering and improve legacy code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Sweden and England to ensure alignment on development goals.
• Work with SQL databases to manage data efficiently.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify business needs and propose solutions.
• Maintain a high standard of code quality and system documentation.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Science, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with native PHP and the Symfony framework. 7+years
• Proficiency in reverse engineering.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred:

• Interest in the automotive industry or experience working in it.
• Familiarity with business processes and project management.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
