About the Client

Our customer is an international trade organization established over 70 years ago by a group of airlines. The organization represents around 330 airlines, accounting for more than 80% of the world's air traffic.

Project details

Our customer, a global organization in the aviation sector, is launching a strategic revamp of its Statistics program to modernize how aviation data is collected, processed, and delivered. The initiative aims to establish a more scalable, modular, and automated architecture. You will play a key role in helping define and implement the technical foundations of this transformation, contributing to the future of the organization’s data infrastructure and delivery models.

Your Team

The project is part of the Data Governance and Modelling team, which currently includes 5 developers. The team is focused on building high-quality data solutions with strong emphasis on structure, consistency, and long-term scalability. You will work closely with this team and other internal stakeholders across various functions.

What's in it for you

  • Interview process that respects people and their time
  • Professional and open IT community
  • Internal meet-ups and resources for knowledge sharing
  • Time for recovery and relaxation
  • Bright online and offline events
  • Opportunity to become part of our internal volunteer community

Responsibilities

Advise and co-design the end-to-end architecture for a data platform hosted in AWS and Snowflake, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Guide and support the implementation of modular, reusable Python-based codebases for all data workflows, setting the foundation for a long-term framework.
Help design/build a fully automated and orchestrated pipeline ecosystem that ingests, processes, and transforms complex aviation datasets.
Design and co-prototype a Data Quality Module to assess data quality across ingestion, transformation, storage, and publication stages.
Define and co-develop a Data Stewardship Module to support human-in-the-loop validation, verification, and data correction.
Implement and mentor the team on CI/CD practices and automated testing for data pipelines.
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal staff to ensure sustainability.

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics consulting - ideally in complex and regulated industries.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake and AWS-native solutions (S3, Lambda, Glue, etc.).
  • Proven track record delivering end-to-end data projects and designing coding and architectural frameworks.
  • Advanced Python skills for data engineering (modular design, testing, etc.).
  • Experience designing and implementing data quality frameworks and stewardship mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and test automation for data workflows.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience or strong understanding of data governance practices and frameworks is a strong plus.
