Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly technical Business Analyst specializing in data analysis to join our Assurance Data Lake project team. This role focuses on bridging the gap between complex raw data sets and business requirements in the financial services sector.

As a Business Analyst you will play a critical role in shaping our consulting services within the financial services sector. With at least 1 to 6 years of relevant experience and a background in financial services, you’ll be an invaluable part of the teams and projects that redefine what's possible in financial services transformation.

Analyze complex, highly normalized data sets from multiple third-party financial data providers (Bloomberg, S&P, LSEG/Refinitiv).
Structure and merge data from various sources with mismatched keys and formats into unified views.
Translate business requirements into technical data specifications and vice versa. 
Create comprehensive documentation of data models, schemas, and relationships. 
Design and implement data processing workflows using tools like Alteryx and Python. 
Develop fail-safes and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and system stability.

• Financial Services Background: experience with tax, compliance, audit, or financial reporting
  Educational background: Hold a Master's degree in a relevant field (business or civil engineering, computer science, economics, information system management, etc.)

• Professional experience: Demonstrate 1 to 6 years of professional experience in consulting and/or the financial services sector, showcasing a track record as a business analyst, functional analyst, or related roles

• Proficiency in data analysis tools

• Experience with relational database modeling

  Key expertise:

• Experience in analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and working with functional teams

• Understanding of project lifecycles, including working in Agile teams

• Knowledge of business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML) and agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

  Other skills:

• Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving

• Outstanding stakeholder management and ability to build relationships through clear communication

• Certifications such as Agile (Scrum, Product Owner), or business analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus
