Senior Backend Software Engineer

You will be joining a lean, high-performing engineering team building and evolving a Cloud-based media and streaming orchestration platform for a growing digital supply chain company that serves global media clients. 

You will contribute to both core platform development and customer-specific customizations, solving complex technical challenges while delivering high-quality, scalable code. 

This is a long-term engagement where you will play a meaningful role in accelerating platform growth, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and helping shape the technical direction of a product at the intersection of media, cloud technology, and software innovation.

• Work collaboratively with Lead Engineers, software developers, QA teams, and internal stakeholders to design and implement scalable infrastructure and deployment solutions.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and operational visibility.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Ensure environments follow security best practices, compliance standards, and operational governance.
• Support and troubleshoot production and development systems, identifying root causes and driving resolution of operational issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application scalability, resiliency, and performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Take ownership of infrastructure deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and incident response activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

• Hands-on Python and Django experience gained in a professional environment, within the media, entertainment, or digital content industry
• Prior exposure to media supply chain workflows, content management systems, or broadcast/streaming technology
• Solid understanding of web application best practices and Git-based development workflows 
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL 
• Proven experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework
• Familiarity with Node.js and full-stack development, including HTML/CSS/JS
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud platform (GCP knowledge is appreciated)
• A strong communicator who takes pride in building quality, scalable, and maintainable software
