SAP MM Consultant

The role supports our client's global SAP MM environment, with a primary focus on purchasing and inventory management from a logistics perspective.

The consultant will initially support operational activities, day-to-day SAP topics, existing processes, and knowledge transfer. As the consultant becomes familiar with the company's SAP landscape, the scope may expand to include change requests, project support, rollout activities, and S/4-related initiatives.

You will join the SAP team responsible for Materials Management, Master Data Management, and related production and logistics modules. The team is relatively small, with individual consultants typically owning a specific module area, giving you clear ownership over your area of expertise while working closely with colleagues covering adjacent topics. 
You will be fully integrated into the internal SAP team, working closely with SAP colleagues and global business stakeholders. The role requires a hands-on working style, ownership of assigned topics, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider team.

• Provide operational SAP MM support for purchasing and inventory management processes.
• Support day-to-day SAP MM topics, incidents, tickets, and user requests.
• Analyze and resolve functional issues affecting procurement and inventory-related processes.
• Work closely with logistics and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements.
• Support existing SAP MM processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Take ownership of assigned topics from initial analysis through resolution.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer, process documentation, testing, and user guidance.
• Support smaller change requests and system enhancements.
• Participate in project, rollout, migration, or S/4-related activities as the role develops.
• Collaborate with other SAP module teams on cross-functional and integration-related topics.

• Strong hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant.
• Good knowledge of purchasing and inventory management processes.
• Strong understanding of SAP MM from a logistics and operational perspective.
• Experience providing production support, resolving tickets, and supporting business users.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into practical SAP solutions.
• Experience working with international teams and global business stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• German language skills are an advantage but are not mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude and ownership of assigned topics.
• Ability to work independently and integrate effectively into a small SAP team.
• Experience with change requests, rollouts, migrations, or S/4HANA projects is beneficial.
