Responsibilities

Your Role

As a Middle UI/UX Designer, you’ll help shape and maintain the visual language of OLR’s product suite. You’ll work on both new features and ongoing UI improvements — many of which are iterative or repetitive, but critical for quality. We’re looking for someone who cares about details, thinks in systems, and takes ownership from concept to implementation. This role suits someone who works independently, communicates clearly, and takes pride in making things better, even when it's not flashy.

Core Skills

  • User experience design
  • User interface design
  • Information architecture
  • User flows
  • User interviewing
  • User scenarios
  • UX research
  • User testing
  • Sketching and wireframing
  • Interactive prototypes
  • Design Systems
  • UX specifications
  • Requirements for a Development Team

Responsibilities

  • Design clean, user-friendly interfaces for new and existing features
  • Translate requirements into responsive flows, mockups, and prototypes (Figma)
  • Maintain and evolve our design system and UI component library
  • Collaborate with product and QA on design specs, stories, and edge cases
  • Support developers with detailed specs and hands-on design QA
  • Iterate on design improvements and respond to stakeholder feedback
  • Balance new designs with recurring updates and refinement work
  • Bring clarity to vague inputs, and think through edge cases proactively

Skills

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–4 years in UI/UX Design for web platforms
  • Strong portfolio showing solid web interface work
  • Figma skills (auto-layout, variants, prototyping, etc.)
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility basics, and design QA
  • Comfortable working on repetitive tasks when needed
  • Able to think critically, suggest improvements, and own the design process
  • Good spoken and written English (B2+) — you’ll be expected to communicate directly with the US-based client

Soft Skills

  • You care about usability and polish, even on small tasks
  • Independent and proactive — you don’t wait for perfect specs to move forward
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity
  • Able to think freely, voice your perspective, and take responsibility for outcomes
  • Balanced: you can deliver fast, but not at the cost of clarity or quality
