Senior Cloud Engineer

Our customer is an international trade organization established over 70 years ago by a group of airlines. The organization represents around 330 airlines, accounting for more than 80% of the world's air traffic.

Our customer, a global organization in the aviation sector, is launching a strategic revamp of its Statistics program to modernize how aviation data is collected, processed, and delivered. The initiative aims to establish a more scalable, modular, and automated architecture. You will play a key role in helping define and implement the technical foundations of this transformation, contributing to the future of the organization’s data infrastructure and delivery models.

Reporting to the Tech Lead Cloud Engineering, The Manager, Cloud Engineering will primarily be responsible for the client’s AWS Cloud Infrastructure, IT Operations and management of the providers that are running AWS workloads on behalf of the customer. The incumbent will also need to ensure adherence to the client’s Unified Infrastructure standards and suggest improvements to the overall DevSecOps lifecycle of the organization.

• Day to day running AWS and On-Premises infrastructures
• Monitor and finetune AWS performance and costs
• Work on cloud engineering issues and tickets in the client's ITSM tool
• Troubleshot OS and application problems related but not limited to Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft BizTalk and others.
• Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Enhance the foundations of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and deliver well-architected implementations based on business and technical requirements.
• Manage full application stacks from the OS through custom applications using Amazon cloud-based computing environments.
• Maintain the client’s existing AD infrastructure, including Azure Entra ID
• Maintain the client ’s existing DNS infrastructure
• Implement and maintain automation tools including Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, UiPath and others.
• Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for the server-based technologies.
• Work with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement scalable software services.
• Review and optimize the patching process for Windows and Linux servers
• Follow all the best practices and procedures established by client as part of the Unified Infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a bachelor's degree).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Amazon Web Services: building environments with services such as EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS, SSM Patch Manager, etc. AWS Certification will be a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services such as storage, Cloud APIs, VPC, etc. Certification on GCP will be an advantage

• Experience in DevOps tools such as Terraform to deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Helm etc.
• Experience in Linux operating systems and scripting with PowerShell, Python, etc.
